Biblical Context
Hebrews 6:1-20 invites believers to move beyond the basics of Christ’s teaching toward spiritual maturity, warning that some may fall away, yet it also speaks of perseverance, God’s oath, and the anchor of hope.
Neville's Inner Vision
Beloved, this passage is not a history lesson but a map of your inner state. Move from the childhood trust in outward rites to the living I AM, a consciousness that can go on unto perfection when you cease laying again the foundation of fear and lack. The rain you drink upon the soil of your mind nourishes herbs of your choosing; the honest soil bears fruit as you persist in the feeling of already having what you desire. The two immutable things—God’s counsel and His oath—are your unshakable assurance when you assume the end. If you fall away in doubt you pretend there is no son within, but if you stand in the assurance, you enter the place beyond the veil where Jesus, the inner forerunner, has already become your high priest. Hope becomes an anchor of the soul, sure and steadfast, because you have fled to that inner refuge and laid hold upon what you imagined.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the feeling of your desire fulfilled, dwelling in the sense 'I AM' as your present reality; revise any doubt by repeating, 'I have already entered the anchor of hope within me.'
