Moving On To Inner Perfection
Hebrews 6:1-2 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Hebrews 6 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage invites you to move beyond elementary beliefs about Christ and press toward maturity. It cautions against mindlessly rehashing foundational rites such as repentance, faith, baptisms, laying on of hands, resurrection, and judgment.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within you, the man or woman who believes they are the perpetual doer of repentance is called to abandon the old foundation and stand in the consciousness of perfection. To 'leave the principles' is not a rejection of Christ, but a turning inside to the I AM where true life rests. Repentance from dead works slides from fear-based action to the living awareness that God is within. The 'doctrine of baptisms' and laying on of hands become inner baptisms—cleansing the attention and acceptance of your own I AM presence. The resurrection of the dead is the inner awakening to a new life now, never apart from the self that knows. Eternal judgment dissolves when you cease critiquing yourself and rest in the certainty that the divine judge is your inner I AM, who already declares you whole. Move from external doctrine to inner certainty, and you will embody the perfection you seek.
Practice This Now
Imaginative_act: Practice an assumption for the day: 'I am already perfected in Christ, right now.' Sit with that sense until it becomes your prevailing atmosphere, and notice the subtle shifts that follow as you carry on.
