Hebrews 5:9-10

Biblical Context

Jesus, having been made perfect, becomes the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him. He is called by God a high priest in the order of Melchizedek.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within your consciousness, 'being made perfect' signals the moment you surrender to your I AM and allow it to embody fullness. 'He became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him' means your inner state writes the enduring outcome; to obey him is to follow the inner command of your imagination and dwell there. 'Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec' reveals the inner office you assume in your mind—the timeless priesthood that mediates between appearances and the divine idea. Melchizedek represents the royal, orderless consciousness you cultivate when you dwell in the end you desire rather than the means. So the verse invites you to retire from doubt and enter the temple of awareness where salvation is present now as your natural experience; you don't chase it, you revise your assumptions until the feeling of the wish fulfilled is second nature. By recognizing the I AM within as your source of eternal life, you enact salvation as a state of consciousness, not a distant event.

Practice This Now

Sit quietly, envision the I AM as your high priest within, then declare, 'I obey the inner command of my imagination and am saved now.' Stay in the felt sense of that completed state for a minute, letting it displace doubt.
