Entering Inner Rest Now

Hebrews 4:6 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Hebrews 4 in context

Scripture Focus

6Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:
Hebrews 4:6

Biblical Context

The verse says the rest remains for entry, and those to whom it was first preached did not enter because of unbelief. It invites a shift in consciousness toward faith to cross into the promised rest.

Neville's Inner Vision

To Hebrews 4:6, I say: the rest spoken of is not a distant place you reach by works, but a state you enter by turning your attention inward. The verse names unbelief as the barrier that keeps souls from stepping into that rest; fear, doubt, or habit of resistance are simply scenes in your inner theatre. When you hear 'some must enter', recognize that 'entering' is a decisive assumption in consciousness. If you refuse to believe in your essential I AM, you remain outside the gate of rest, arguing with appearances. But belief is not a denial of facts; it is the aware assumption that the inner reality precedes outward display. The first preaching represents old states you outgrow by a shift in inner seeing. Reclaim the authority of your one mind, and begin to feel as though you have already entered; feel the present rest flooding your being, not as a future event but as your true condition. In this way, you move from unbelief to trust, from waiting to living the rest you always were.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and silently repeat, 'I am entering my rest now' while imagining a quiet door within your chest labeled 'REST'; step through and let the sense of peace fill you.
