The Inner House of Faith

Hebrews 3:5-6 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Hebrews 3 in context

Scripture Focus

5And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after;
6But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.
Hebrews 3:5-6

Biblical Context

Moses served faithfully as a model, but Christ now presides as the Son over the house we belong to, on condition we hold fast to confidence and hopeful endurance.

Neville's Inner Vision

Deep within Hebrews 3:5-6, the scene shifts from Moses's faithful service to Christ's sovereign rule. Moses is a faithful servant in the house, a memory pointing to what was to be spoken later; Christ is the Son over the house itself, and this house is your own life, your present awareness. When you recognize that the I AM, the eternal you, now presides as Son, your inner world becomes secure. The question becomes not external obedience, but the certainty that you belong to the house by holding fast the confidence and the joy of hope firm unto the end. If fear or doubt arise, revise swiftly: remind yourself that the house you inhabit is not built by struggle but by consciousness, by the feeling that you are acquainted with the I AM. Your role is loyalty to the covenant of your true identity, which never leaves the Father's property. In this light, faith is not a past event but an insistence in the present moment that you are the very dwelling place of God's life.

Practice This Now

In five minutes, close your eyes and declare, 'I am the house over which Christ rules; I belong here by the I AM.' Then feel the room light up with confidence and hope as if the truth is real.
