The Inner Builder's Glory
Hebrews 3:3 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Hebrews 3 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse says the builder has greater glory than Moses because the builder of the house receives more honor than the house itself. It points to the inner source of life rather than outward form.
Neville's Inner Vision
Hebrews 3:3 speaks to my inner ear as the builder’s voice. The builder has more glory than the house, and I hear that as the I AM—the living, unchanging consciousness I am. Moses, the old form, was revered for its shadow of truth; Jesus, the builder, is the presence that upholds life. When I mistake the house for reality, I worship the form and forget the source. But to know the builder is to know that every scene—people, bodies, events—is but a garment worn by the I AM. The glory belongs to the builder, not the building; therefore my attention should rest in the awareness that sustains the life. As I align with that inner author, appearances rearrange themselves to reflect the reality of consciousness. The present moment becomes fertile with possibility because I am not merely living in the house—I am the one who built it.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, declare 'I am the builder of my life,' and imagine the I AM as a luminous architect revising your self-image. Feel the inner builder uplift the scene you inhabit until the life around you reflects conscious awareness.
