Rest by Belief in the I Am

Hebrews 3:18 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Hebrews 3 in context

Scripture Focus

18And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?
Hebrews 3:18

Biblical Context

Hebrews 3:18 contrasts those who believed with those who did not; unbelief keeps one from entering the rest of God.

Neville's Inner Vision

The writer invites us to see rest as a state of consciousness, not a distant place. The swearing is an inner decree that you remain outside rest whenever you identify with disbelief. Yet belief is a state you can adopt, and it is seated in your I AM. When you realize that the land of rest is the awareness you are, you enter it by shifting your inner state. Do not seek rest externally; assume the consciousness of rest as your present fact. Think I am the rest of God now, and let that I AM presence saturate your senses until peace becomes your normal atmosphere. Persist with this assumption, and outward events align with your inner conviction, revealing the rest you have always carried within.

Practice This Now

Imaginatively assume you are already in the rest of God. Revise any belief contrary to that; feel it real by softly repeating I am in the rest of God now while breathing slowly and deeply.
