Hebrews 3:13-14

Biblical Context

Hebrews 3:13-14 urges daily mutual exhortation to keep the heart soft and free from the deceit of sin. It also declares that we become partakers of Christ as we steadfastly hold our confidence from the beginning to the end.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within every one of us there is the I AM whispering: exhort one another daily in the consciousness that today is the moment you begin again. The deceitfulness of sin is the habit of forgetting that you are God’s idea now; it hardens when you treat the day as merely coming instead of your living reality. We are made partakers of Christ by holding the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end—the end is the steady glow of revelation you choose in imagination. We are one with Christ because our united state of awareness recognizes itself as God’s own. The inner community you sense is the unity of consciousness, not a group outside you. Perseverance is simply the practice of returning to that truth until fear and doubt dissolve. Hope becomes certainty as you persist in that vision, and the future unfolds as your present experience, here and now.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Quietly revise any sense of separation by affirming 'Today I am in Christ; my confidence remains steadfast to the end,' and imagine encouraging a friend within, feeling the truth of unity.
