Biblical Context
Hebrews 3:1-2 invites holy believers to fix their gaze on Jesus, the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, affirming fidelity to the one who appointed him, just as Moses was faithful in his house.
Neville's Inner Vision
Beloved, this passage does not speak of distant times but of your own interior life. 'Holy brethren' are states of consciousness who have tasted the heavenly calling. To 'consider' Christ Jesus is to deliberate within, to align your imagination with the consciousness that acts as Apostle and High Priest in your daily profession. He was faithful to the one who appointed him; you too are asked to show fidelity to the inner order that formed you, the I AM that set you on your present path. The comparison with Moses reminds you that the keeping of your inner house depends not on fear but on unwavering trust in your divine appointment. When you dwell in the awareness that the I AM within you is the eternal conductor of your work, your life will reflect the discipline, consistency, and generosity of spirit you admire in Moses and Christ. In this light, every decision, every action, becomes a prayer of fidelity to your heavenly calling— and faithfulness awakens as your recognizable, immediate reality.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and declare I am the faithful Apostle and High Priest of my profession, then feel the I AM now guiding every action. If doubt arises, revise it by affirming I am faithful to the inner appointment.
