Hebrews 3:1

Biblical Context

Hebrews 3:1 speaks to holy brothers who share the heavenly calling. It invites you to consider Christ Jesus as the Apostle and High Priest of your profession.

Neville's Inner Vision

Why not read this verse as a description of your inner state, not a mandate from without? The holy brethren are simply those who awaken to a higher consciousness—the heavenly calling—where every breath is a choosing of God within. The Apostle and High Priest of our profession is consciousness itself, Christ Jesus, the I AM that knows and performs through you. When you consider Him, you are not looking outside; you are turning your gaze to the inner administrator of your world. Faith and vocation are inseparable: the moment you hold in mind the inner priest as present, the outer events and work align with that reality. You are not earning salvation so much as agreeing with your true nature, which already knows and loves. The verse asks you to cease from doubt and to treat every thought, motive, and action as an opportunity for the priestly function to operate through your awareness. In this way, the heavenly calling becomes your daily weather, and your life unfolds as a demonstration of your inner state.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, breathe I AM into your heart, and declare, 'Christ Jesus, Apostle and High Priest of my life, govern my thoughts.' Let that inner authority settle, and allow your next action to arise from this realized state.
