Deliverance From Fearful Bondage

Hebrews 2:15 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Hebrews 2 in context

Scripture Focus

15And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
Hebrews 2:15

Biblical Context

People are held in bondage by the fear of death their whole lives; the verse promises their deliverance.

Neville's Inner Vision

In this line you are shown the truth that fear of death is a state of consciousness, not a fact about you. Those who tremble under mortality imagine themselves separate from the I AM—the awareness that you actually are. Yet the I AM is the very power that births your experience, and imagination is the instrument by which you decree what is real. Deliverance comes not from changing others or circumstances, but from revising your inner assumption until the image of freedom feels more real than the bondage. If you fear dying, assume you are already alive and unbound in this moment. Speak from that end as if it were true, and let your feelings align with it. Persist in that new self-perspective until sleep and waking witness the outer world shift to match it. Your past fear dissolves when the inner vision holds steady; you awaken to the truth that your consciousness creates the stage upon which life plays out.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the feeling of being free now; during the day, silently repeat, 'I am free from the fear of death' until the inner image of deliverance arises.
