Biblical Context
Take seriously the truths you've heard, so you don’t drift away. The passage warns that neglecting this great salvation brings inner consequence, if you ignore your realization.
Neville's Inner Vision
To the I AM within us, Hebrews 2:1-4 speaks as a call to constant attention. The admonition 'we ought to give the more earnest heed' is not a command to external duty but a demand of consciousness: keep your awareness fixed on the Word you have heard until it becomes your reigning state. The 'word spoken by angels' is the steadfast idea you have accepted about yourself—the inner decree that you are whole, free, and guided. When you let fear or old limitation slide back into your thoughts, you invite the old conditions to reappear. So I ask: how shall I escape if I neglect so great salvation? It is a declaration that salvation is not a future event but a living condition of present awareness—begun by the Lord and confirmed within me by those who hear him in me—the inner voices, inspirations, and certainties that confirm my unity with the Source. God bears witness through inner signs, wonders, and gifts of the Holy Ghost as the ongoing proof that the I AM is at work in my life, according to my inner will. Therefore, awaken, stay faithful to the Word, and let your inner life demonstrate the truth.
Practice This Now
In a moment of quiet, assume the Word is already true in your life; feel the certainty as if it is your present state, and let that Word govern your day.
