Timothy's Liberty Within
Hebrews 13:23 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Hebrews 13 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Timothy is declared free, and the writer plans to see him soon. This implies that liberty is tied to relationships and timely alignment within the spiritual community.
Neville's Inner Vision
Know ye that our brother Timothy is set at liberty, I translate in my language of imagination to a state of consciousness in which a portion of my own I AM takes the liberty of itself. Timothy is not a distant man but a facet of me, a manifestation of an inner condition that has been pledged and released. When I observe 'Timothy is set at liberty,' I am witnessing the moment my awareness breaks its chains of fear, doubt, and limitation. The second phrase—'with whom, if he come shortly, I will see you'—speaks of the imminent appearance of that liberated state in my daily life; the “I” that will see you is the housing for the liberty, the present moment where fellowship with the self occurs. The verse teaches that freedom is not contingent on external events but arises from within and expresses itself in chosen companionship, timing, and reunion. So, cultivate a feeling-tone of release now, revise any sense of bondage, and expect the meeting with your own Timothy as a natural outcome of an awakened state.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, assume 'Timothy is set at liberty' now, and feel the release as your own. Picture the reunion in vivid detail and let that inner liberty become your lived sense of now.
