Biblical Context
Hebrews 13:1-6 calls us to live as ongoing states of love and trust, practicing hospitality, remembrance of the afflicted, and pure speech. It grounds all action in the awareness that God is with us, offering steadfast support.
Neville's Inner Vision
View Hebrews 13:1-6 as a map of your inner life. Brotherly love is not peripheral duty but a state you assume until it becomes your habit of awareness; entertaining strangers means inviting every hidden aspect of consciousness to share your inner room, for some have entertained angels within your own I AM. Remembering those in bonds translates to narrowing your attention to the inner bonds you permit or dissolve, recognizing that you suffer in the body only as you identify with separateness. Marriage is honored in all, and the bed undefiled; this speaks to harmonizing your inner faculties so that desire remains pure and directed by wholeness. Let your conversation be without covetousness and be content with such things as you have, for I will never leave you nor forsake you becomes your felt assurance. Then you may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do, because the powers backing you are your own God-imbued awareness. Practice this until you wake to a steady sense of protection and sufficiency within.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Close your eyes and assume the feeling, I am never abandoned; rest in the sense that the I AM is your helper now. Then extend that inner hospitality to every stranger as a reflection of your own awareness.
