Seeing God Through Peace and Holiness
Hebrews 12:14 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Hebrews 12 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse calls you to actively pursue peace with all people and to cultivate holiness; without these inner conditions, the Lord remains unseen.
Neville's Inner Vision
All true seeing arises from the inward state. When Hebrews 12:14 bids you follow peace with all men and holiness, it speaks of your inner atmosphere, not merely external courtesy. Peace is a steady state of your consciousness, a refusal to fracture your awareness by resentment or fear. Holiness is the deliberate alignment of your thoughts with your divine I AM, a sacred boundary that keeps your attention on the reality within. The Lord you seek is not a distant person to appease, but the I AM who dwells as your awareness. When your mind is at peace with every soul and your conduct is governed by holiness, the barrier between you and God dissolves. You begin to perceive the Lord as the light of your own consciousness, shining forth as your true identity. This seeing comes not by effort but by the revision of your inner state toward harmony and reverence.
Practice This Now
Assume you are already at peace with a difficult person; revise the scene and bless them, letting peace settle in your chest. Then rest in the I AM within you and feel holiness lingering as you move through the day.
