Lift and Heal Within

Hebrews 12:12-13 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Hebrews 12 in context

Scripture Focus

12Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees;
13And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.
Hebrews 12:12-13

Biblical Context

Hebrews 12:12-13 invites you to tend your inner posture—lift the weary hands, steady the feeble knees, and straighten the path of your life so healing can occur. The healing is achieved through a conscious inner revision that imagines wholeness as already present.

Neville's Inner Vision

From the Neville Goddard viewpoint, these verses illuminate a law of inner renewal: nothing external heals you; your transformed state births shifted experiences. The hands that hang down and the knees that tremble symbolize a mind, heart, and will convinced of lack, resistance, or delay. To lift them is to decide in the I AM that you are already whole and capable; it is to refuse the motion of doubt and resume the posture of faith in your unseen self. The 'straight paths' are not roads to be found but images to be maintained—clear, unambiguous imaginal exercises that align feeling with the desired end. If you walk in fear or entertain inconsistent thoughts, the path becomes crooked and the 'lame' aspect of you remains unhealed. But if you hold the assumption that your new state exists now and let your imagination dwell there, your steps will naturally align, your body will respond with vitality, and healing will appear as an outward experience of your inner conviction. Your awareness, your I AM, is the healer; imagination is the instrument; feeling it real is the path.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and declare, 'I am healed and steady now.' Feel the warmth in your hands and strength in your knees, then imagine a bright, straight path before you and walk it in your mind for 60 seconds.
