Hebrews 10:8-10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Hebrews 10 in context

Scripture Focus

8Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;
9Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.
10By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
Hebrews 10:8-10

Biblical Context

Hebrews 10:8-10 shows the old sacrifices were not pleasing; the divine will arrives, removing the first to establish the second, and we are sanctified through the offering of Jesus' body once for all.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within Hebrews 10:8-10 the old sacrifices are not the final reality; the Father speaks through your I AM, announcing a shift from ritual to will. The 'first' is taken away so the 'second' may stand as your present condition—a life aligned with God. Sanctification comes not by external rites but by the will, through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. This offering is symbolic of your true self surrendered to the Divine will; when you acknowledge that the I AM within you is the active agent, you awaken to the truth that your state of consciousness is the temple of sanctity. Imagination is the instrument by which this covenant becomes real: you dwell in the awareness that you are the instrument by which God's will is done. The old covenant fades in the light of presence; the inner covenant is enacted here and now as you align with the I AM and accept the will that animates you.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume, 'I come to do Thy will, O God.' Feel the inner shift as the I AM aligns with the Divine; imagine the old self dissolving and the new sanctified state standing as present reality.
