Remembered No More: Inner Forgiveness
Hebrews 10:17-18 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Hebrews 10 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
God declares that sins and iniquities will be remembered no more, and where remission exists there is no further offering for sin.
Neville's Inner Vision
Consider that the 'sin' is a state of consciousness. When God says, 'And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more,' I imagine the I AM within me ceasing to identify with guilt as a reality. If remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin, then any future ritual to appease God is simply a reminder to return to consciousness. In Neville's language, the past is a dream image I now refuse to answer to; my present I AM is free, complete, and unaffected by the former 'offering.' The Father within—my present awareness—does not remember those old conclusions; therefore I do not need a ritual to make myself clean. The verse invites me to live from the declared remission, not to plead for it. When I assume the feeling of being forgiven, I begin to inhabit a new inner economy where guilt has no currency and every moment becomes altar and sacrifice only to the joy of renewal.
Practice This Now
Assume the identity of the I AM for a moment and declare, 'I am forgiven; my past is remembered no more.' Feel this remission as real now and let the memory of guilt dissolve as you relax into present awareness.
