The Inner Covenant of Law
Hebrews 10:15-18 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Hebrews 10 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage speaks of a new covenant where God writes the law on hearts and minds, and remembers sins no more. Where there is remission, there is no more offering for sin.
Neville's Inner Vision
Think of this covenant not as a distant decree but as the turning of your own inner door. The Holy Ghost is the witness, the steady awareness that says: I am the one who writes the law upon my heart. The laws are not commandments external to you; they are the dispositions and habits you inwardly consent to by attention. When you imagine, you imprint; when you persist in the feeling of 'I AM,' the mind accepts the new pattern. As you are present with this inner writing, sins become past shadows, remembered no more by the living present you are. Remission is not a future event; it is the now of your consciousness, the removing of the investment in guilt. The old offering for sin ceases because the offering is complete in your own awareness. So, let the mind relax into the sense of inner agreement: I have been re-scripted by the divine Writer within, and the world reflects this stable being back to me.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and affirm: 'I am the law written on my heart by God within me.' Feel the letters as living impressions on your chest and mind; rest in the sense that sins are forgotten now.
