Hebrews 10:12-14 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Hebrews 10 in context

Scripture Focus

12But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
13From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.
14For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
Hebrews 10:12-14

Biblical Context

Jesus offered one sacrifice for sins and sat down at God's right hand; by that single offering, the sanctified are perfected forever. In plain terms, the verse declares the sufficiency and permanence of Christ's completed work.

Neville's Inner Vision

Verse 10:12-14 invites us to see a sacrifice that God counts as complete, and a man who sits at the right hand of God. But the real meaning for Neville is inner: the one offering is a decisive act of consciousness. When you acknowledge the I AM as your true center, the sense of sin and separation dissolves and the sanctified state is established in your mind. Christ at God’s right hand becomes your inner authority, not a distant event, and by that single offering you are perfected forever. The “enemies” become the last remnants of a former self, easily overcome by the belief that you are already unified with divine life. Thus the verse invites you to dwell in the certainty that the past is dissolved in imagination and the future springs from the present state you affirm. Change happens first in awareness; the world follows as you live from that inner victory.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the feeling of being already perfected now. Dwell in the I AM seated with God, and silently declare, 'I am sanctified forever' until the sense registers as fact.
