Neville's Inner Vision
To this verse, I hear an invitation to awareness. God does not reach from outside to touch you; He is the I AM within you. The angels are states of consciousness you entertain—spirits that move through your mind as possibilities. When the verse says He makes his angels spirits, it is declaring that your thoughts and feelings are alive, intelligent energies that can become actualized. The ministers, a flame of fire, are your faculties—imagination, memory, sensation, choice—set aflame by focus. The flame is not pity or punishment; it is power, a transforming energy that burns away hesitation and births decision. When you dwell in a particular state—peace, confidence, or expectancy—you authorize these inner beings to act, shaping circumstances to reflect your inner motion. The outer world is the echo of the inner choir. So you are asked to cultivate an imaginal life in which you embody the state you desire, and let the external evidence follow as the natural fruit of inner birth. Remember, the divine presence is your own awareness; through disciplined imagination, you become the master of your experience.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Close your eyes and assume you are the flame of fire ministering to your desired state. Feel it as real here and now and let that inner motion carry you into action.
