Read Haggai 2 in context

Scripture Focus

9The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts.
Haggai 2:9

Biblical Context

The latter house's glory will surpass the former, and in this place God will grant peace. It points to an inner shift available now.

Neville's Inner Vision

Think of the 'latter house' as your present state of consciousness, brighter than yesterday's frame. The glory is the brightness of awareness—the I AM that you are becoming alive to. When Haggai promises peace in this place, it means the inner sanctuary where belief and feeling are aligned with truth. The former temple stands for past limitations; the latter is your renewed sense of self by an act of imagination. By assuming the feeling of the wish fulfilled, you invite the peace to settle into your body and life, and the outward scene follows as a chorus to your inner state. This is not future tense; it is restoration of your inner king to reign here and now. Let your attention drop below the surface story and rest in the assumption that you already exist as the peace you seek; in that memory, the world subtly reconfigures to match the inner vision. The verse thus teaches that peace is the natural atmosphere of the present I AM when you dwell in its glory.

Practice This Now

Sit quietly; close your eyes; assume the feeling of the wish fulfilled: 'I am peace in this inner temple.' Feel it as a present reality for a few minutes, then carry that feeling into the day.
