Divine Wealth Within

Haggai 2:8 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Haggai 2 in context

Scripture Focus

8The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts.
Haggai 2:8

Biblical Context

Haggai 2:8 declares that all wealth belongs to God. In Neville's view, provision springs from one's inner state, not from external treasures.

Neville's Inner Vision

Here the silver and gold are not external assets to chase but symbols of a divine state you inhabit. The LORD of hosts is the inner I AM, the source of all supply, not a distant ledger. When you acknowledge yourself as that I AM, wealth manifests as a natural function of your inner government. If you feel scarcity, revise to the sense: 'The wealth I require is mine because the I AM within me governs all means.' Imagination then operates as a creative faculty, moving through ideas, doors, and people to meet your need. The verse asks you to claim sovereignty over your inner world—your thoughts, feelings, and visions—so that outer provision follows as a sign. The practice is not bargaining with fate but awakening to your true identity: you are the I AM, and all silver and gold are already yours in consciousness.

Practice This Now

Sit quietly with your hand on your heart and assume the feeling of the wish fulfilled: wealth is mine. Revise any sense of lack by declaring, 'The I AM within me owns all wealth, and I now experience its expression.'
