Biblical Context
Habakkuk 3:2-3 records a plea to revive God's work and remember mercy. It also presents a vision of the Holy One coming in glory and filling creation with praise.
Neville's Inner Vision
When Habakkuk says, I have heard thy speech, and was afraid, I hear in my own mind the voice of consciousness speaking to itself. Fear is only the old self clinging to limitation; the moment I answer with a higher I AM, the cry becomes a call for revival. 'Revive thy work in the midst of the years' becomes my inner assurance that now is the center where God's activity operates. The phrase 'in wrath remember mercy' is not judgment but the inner fire refining belief until it remembers mercy as the natural state of being. Then the vision shifts: God comes from Teman and the Holy One from mount Paran—these are symbolic places within, the depths from which my divine I AM emerges. His glory covers the heavens, and the earth is full of praise, not as a spectacle outside me, but as the light of awareness filling every vessel of my mind. I am invited to worship by feeling this presence as my own I AM, here and now, transforming fear into worship, crisis into clarity, separation into unity.
Practice This Now
