Habakkuk vows to rejoice in the LORD, the God of salvation. He envisions inner strength lifting his steps to high places.
Neville's Inner Vision
You are the I AM that forever witnesses the scene of your life. Habakkuk’s cry to rejoice is a call to awaken to the consciousness that never falters, the God of your salvation who is your constant state. When you declare the LORD God is my strength, you are not seeking power from outside but remembering the power you already bear within. The hind's feet are the agile, assured steps of a mind fixed in this inner kingdom—steps that glide over doubts and climb toward what you now claim as present reality. To walk upon high places is to refuse the evidence of limitation and to dwell in the feeling of ascent—the awareness that you are already where you desire to be, by the grace of your own imagining. This is the practice: choose joy as your default, revise every obstacle as illusion, and feel your salvation as your current condition. The whisper of your praise becomes the instrument by which you elevate your life from within, and you discover that God’s strength carries you to heights you once deemed impossible.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, assume you are already standing on high ground, and affirm, I rejoice in the LORD; The LORD God is my strength. Then allow the feeling of ascent to rise until you know it as true in this moment.
