Habakkuk 3:12-13 describes God marching through the land in indignation to thresh the heathen, then going forth for the salvation of His people. It presents salvation as a decisive inner victory against entrenched wickedness.

Neville's Inner Vision

Read again as a teacher within your own consciousness: the march through the land is the I AM moving across your mental field, setting order in place of chaos. Indignation is the firm stance of awareness toward fear and discord; threshing the heathen is the removal of habitual doubts and opposing patterns that claim attention. The anointed is the awakened self within—your Christ-consciousness—coming forth to save the inner nation. When the verse says you wounded the head out of the house of the wicked by discovering the foundation unto the neck, interpret the 'head' as the source of the lie and the 'foundation' as the deepest root belief. To reveal it unto the neck means bringing the whole root into light and dissolving it by awareness. This is not external conquest but the inner revelation that shines into the darkness and dissolves it. Your mind becomes Habakkuk’s march; your awareness is moving and overturning every false claim, until salvation is established within. Stand in that victorious mood now and let the old foundations crumble beneath the light of I AM.
