Scripture Focus

10The mountains saw thee, and they trembled: the overflowing of the water passed by: the deep uttered his voice, and lifted up his hands on high.
Habakkuk 3:10

Biblical Context

The verse presents God's presence causing mountains to tremble, waters to pass, and the deep to utter and lift its hands in high praise.

Neville's Inner Vision

From this verse, I hear that when the I AM of you stands in awareness, the fixed visions of yourself and the world (the mountains) are not solid but respond to your inner consent. The mountains trembling are your old beliefs quaking before the concrete realization that God—the I AM—dwells within. The overflowing of the water passing by represents the cleansing flow of your feeling nature, the emotions that once blocked harmony, now moving aside as you give attention to the Self that cannot be moved. The deep uttered its voice is the deep, quiet truth of your being declaring itself, and lifting up its hands on high is the rising of consciousness in praise, an ascent into the awareness that you are that I AM, that which gives voice to reality. When you habitually assume the Presence as your own, you awaken the condition of all things inside you to respond accordingly. Practically, you can close your eyes and assume, 'I AM,' and feel the tremors of old beliefs yielding to the certainty of divine Life within.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Sit quietly and assume the Presence as I AM. Feel the mountains within you tremble, the waters cleanse excess emotion, and the deep voice within rise, lifting your hands in conscious praise.
