Biblical Context
Genesis 9:4-6 declares that life is sacred and must be protected; the blood carries life and God holds all beings responsible, since humans are created in God's image.
Neville's Inner Vision
From the Neville Goddard perspective, the 'blood' is not merely a meal item but the symbol of life force within consciousness. The verse says, do not eat flesh with its life—the life is the breath of God moving in you. When God says He will require the blood of lives, he is describing the inner law: every thought or deed that drains another's vitality drains your own divine energy, for you and your neighbor share the one I AM. Being made in the image of God means you carry the living I AM as your true center; thus, violence and judgment are distortions of proximity to that life. To live in harmony with this law is to guard your inner speech, to regard every being as a manifestation of the divine presence, and to treat life as sacred energy you do not waste on separation or hatred. Your responsibility is not punishment but correction: revise the fear into love, the doubt into unity, and feel the life you see as yours to uphold. When you hold this vision, your outer world reflects a covenant loyalty, a just order born of inner awareness.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Sit quietly, breathe, and revise your assumption about life—see every person as the living I AM in form; in your next moment, feel it real that life flows to and through all, and you no longer 'take' life by judgment or resentment.
