Noah's Inner Ark
Genesis 7:7 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Genesis 7 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Noah, his wife, and his sons with their wives enter the ark with him because of the floodwaters.
Neville's Inner Vision
In this verse, the ark is not a boat on water but the state of consciousness Noah occupies. The flood outside represents the stormy thoughts and emotional tides of the world; what matters is the inner sanctuary—Noah plus his wife and sons and their wives—chosen as a complete, harmonious state of awareness that refuses to be scattered by fear. When they enter, they step into the only refuge that can endure the flood: the I AM, the constant awareness that you are more than circumstances. The unity of family in the ark mirrors the inner alignment of every facet of consciousness—will, imagination, feeling, and translation into action—moving together under one governing consciousness. Faithfulness here is obedience to the inner sense of truth that, while appearances flood, your inner sanctuary remains intact. Salvation is not a future event but the present act of identifying with that indwelling ark, the unassailable self that endures the waters by recognizing them as forms of imagination.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and imagine stepping into the ark of your own consciousness, with your entire inner life—will, feeling, memory—safely gathered. Feel the I AM surrounding you; declare, 'I am in the ark now,' and let the sense of protection expand until the floodwaters recede.
