Inner Ark of Imagination

Genesis 7:11-17 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Genesis 7 in context

Scripture Focus

11In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.
12And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.
13In the selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark;
14They, and every beast after his kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind, and every fowl after his kind, every bird of every sort.
15And they went in unto Noah into the ark, two and two of all flesh, wherein is the breath of life.
16And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the LORD shut him in.
17And the flood was forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bare up the ark, and it was lift up above the earth.
Genesis 7:11-17

Biblical Context

Noah and his family enter the ark as the flood begins. The fountains break open and the windows of heaven are opened, and the ark is lifted above the earth.

Neville's Inner Vision

Genesis 7:11-17 is a map for awakening your inner state. The fountains of the great deep are the submerged beliefs and fears within you that burst forth when you stand in your I AM. The windows of heaven opening signify your inner visions and possibilities becoming apparent to consciousness. The ark represents a fixed, protective state of awareness you can hold as the rising waters of reaction threaten to overwhelm you. When the LORD shuts him in, that is the decisive moment you cease clinging to old stories and allow your inner door to close, binding you to your imaginative reality. The 40 days and 40 nights symbolize a complete, inner cycle of adjustment in which you stay with the feeling of your state, letting it lift you above circumstance. If you dwell there, you will find your outward world bending to the certainty of your inward kingdom—proof that you are always where you imagine yourself to be.

Practice This Now

Sit in quiet, assume you are already inside the ark of your own consciousness, feel the door close on old conditions, and declare that you are lifted above the flood by your I AM.
