Genesis 6:11-12 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Genesis 6 in context

Scripture Focus

11The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.
12And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.
Genesis 6:11-12

Biblical Context

The earth is described as corrupt and filled with violence, and God observes that humanity has deviated from His way.

Neville's Inner Vision

Here the earth is your inner ground, a state of consciousness. Corruption and violence reveal a mind that has forgotten the law of your I AM. The divine Look is your awareness turning to what you hold as real. When you believe that all flesh has corrupted His way, you identify with the old story—the belief that life is a struggle and the world is imperfect. The Law of Assumption says you can revise by taking a new inner image as true. Stand in the unwavering I AM and imagine life organized by that holy pattern; feel it real that your inner state now governs your experience. The outer world is a faithful witness to the inner order you cherish. As you persist in this inner hold, harsh conditions soften and a new life begins to unfold. The I AM is the field in which you stand; when you truly inhabit that awareness, the world reveals the sanctified order already present within.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the state of the I AM as your only reality; envision the inner earth becoming pure and holy, and feel that this inner state now manifests outwardly as your life.
