Biblical Context
Joseph is described as a fruitful branch by a well whose growth overflows the wall; despite archers who harass and hate him, his strength remains because of the hand of the mighty God of Jacob. The blessing comes from God and endures to give abundance from above, the depths, and the womb.
Neville's Inner Vision
Imagine you are Joseph, the living state you presently inhabit. I am a fruitful bough by a well, my branches running over the wall, because the I AM within nourishes me. The archers are mere thoughts that shoot at my sense of separation; yet my bow abides in strength as the hands of the mighty God of Jacob mold me from within. From this inner strength comes the shepherd, the stone of Israel—the law that orders my life. By the God of my father who shall help me, and by the Almighty who blesses me with heaven above, the deep beneath, and the nurturing breasts and womb, I am blessed. These blessings are not distant favors but inner states I cultivate. The blessing of my father prevails beyond measure to the utmost hills, resting on my head, the crown of awareness I wear as I stand separate from fear. I am that crown, and all the world conforms to my inner vision once I remain in the consciousness of abundance.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Close your eyes and assume you are Joseph, the fruitful bough by the well. Feel the inner blessing as your current reality and revise any lack by affirming that heaven’s abundance is your true state.
