Inner Adoption Inheritance Realized

Genesis 48:5-6 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Genesis 48 in context

Scripture Focus

5And now thy two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, which were born unto thee in the land of Egypt before I came unto thee into Egypt, are mine; as Reuben and Simeon, they shall be mine.
6And thy issue, which thou begettest after them, shall be thine, and shall be called after the name of their brethren in their inheritance.
Genesis 48:5-6

Biblical Context

Two sons born to you in Egypt are claimed as mine, and your future offspring will share in that line of inheritance.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within the quiet of your consciousness, the two sons are not distant genealogies but inner aspects given by the I AM. When you hear 'they are mine,' understand this as the I AM claiming the newborn faculties of your mind—persistence, talent, courage—as your rightful inheritance. Do not search outward for lineage; see the bond within your own being—the realization that every impulse you birth is a possible state of consciousness to be cherished, named, and inherited. The phrase 'shall be mine' becomes a decree of alignment: identity and circumstance are shaped by inner conviction, not by outward event. Your future children—your outcomes, your projects, your gifts—shall bear the name of the virtues you plant now in your heart. This is the inner kingdom, the Providence within you, where the bloodline of your life flows from the I AM's acknowledgment. When you claim, you become the parent of your life, and what you call yours expands your Kingdom.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Sit quietly, close your eyes, and declare, 'Ephraim and Manasseh are mine within this I AM.' Visualize two bright aspects or projects already belonging to you, and feel the certainty of their being part of your life now.
