Read Genesis 48 in context

Scripture Focus

15And he blessed Joseph, and said, God, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac did walk, the God which fed me all my life long unto this day,
16The Angel which redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads; and let my name be named on them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.
Genesis 48:15-16

Biblical Context

Jacob blesses Joseph and his sons, calling on the God his fathers walked with and the Angel who saved him. He asks that the family line be named on them and multiplied in the earth.

Neville's Inner Vision

Put yourself in Jacob’s place in your own mind. The 'God before whom my fathers… walked' is the I AM you awaken as; when you say 'the God… fed me all my life,' you acknowledge the outward life as sustained by your inner sustenance. The 'Angel which redeemed me from all evil' is your inner guidance, the quiet discernment that clears fear and reveals your true state. The blessing on the lads is your willingness to let your inner possibilities—your projects, your desires, your sons and daughters of thought—receive a name and a place in your consciousness. When Jacob says 'let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth,' he states that your inner alignment will manifest outward abundance, geographic and relational, because you have named and owned them in mind. Thus the past lineage is not history but a present state of awareness you embody now. By entering the feeling of already possessing this blessing, you align with divine order and let multiplication occur in your life.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Close your eyes, assume you are the blessing itself; feel the I AM blessing your life and naming your line. Visualize your inner lads growing into a multitude in the earth.
