Judah's Confession, Inner Peace

Genesis 44:16-17 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Genesis 44 in context

Scripture Focus

16And Judah said, What shall we say unto my lord? what shall we speak? or how shall we clear ourselves? God hath found out the iniquity of thy servants: behold, we are my lord's servants, both we, and he also with whom the cup is found.
17And he said, God forbid that I should do so: but the man in whose hand the cup is found, he shall be my servant; and as for you, get you up in peace unto your father.
Genesis 44:16-17

Biblical Context

Judah admits their guilt and offers themselves as servants; the cup-bearing one remains as a servant, while the others go free in peace to their father.

Neville's Inner Vision

Judah’s words are not a moral complaint but a declaration of a situation recognized by the I AM. The cup is found in the one among you who harbors a hidden sense of guilt; yet the moment this inner truth is named, the entire ensemble is released to go back to their Father in peace. In this scene the 'I' that detects sin does not punish; it simply distinguishes states of consciousness. The man with the cup remains—an inner pointer to the old self that believed it must bear the consequence—while the rest of your mind returns to its source, free of judgment. Mercy arises not from external mercy but from your decision that guilt never defines you; forgiveness is the recognition that you already are the blessed child, and what appears as punishment is the turning of attention to a higher order. So the prince of your inner kingdom speaks, saying, 'Get you up in peace unto your father,' because peace is the natural state when you stop identifying with guilt and start identifying with the I AM that never errs.

Practice This Now

Assume you are already free of guilt. Revision: inwardly declare, 'I am forgiven; I go in peace to my Father,' and feel the release as you align with the I AM.
