Read Genesis 43 in context

Scripture Focus

14And God Almighty give you mercy before the man, that he may send away your other brother, and Benjamin. If I be bereaved of my children, I am bereaved.
Genesis 43:14

Biblical Context

Jacob prays that mercy be granted before the human ruler so his sons can be spared trouble, even as he accepts the possibility of loss.

Neville's Inner Vision

To the I AM within, Genesis 43:14 speaks not of a distant king but of your inner governor. When Jacob invokes God Almighty to give you mercy before the man, he is teaching you to assume that the outer appearance is already subsumed by your inner state. Mercy is not something you earn from without; it is the capacity of your consciousness to be moved and guided by the awareness that you are one with the I AM. The 'man' who sits in judgment is simply the external circumstance that must bow to the reality you have already imagined. By dwelling in the conviction that mercy precedes every meeting, you pre-send the outcome you desire, and the fear of loss loses its grip. If you cling to the fear of bereavement, you are claiming a future that matches that fear; but when you revise the scene to acknowledge mercy now, you align your inner nature with a merciful end. Your identity is not the fear of separation but the I AM that remains untouched and compassionate through every trial.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and revise your state to: 'I AM God Almighty; mercy precedes every outer meeting.' Hold the feeling until it feels natural, then carry it into your next decision.
