Read Genesis 4 in context

Scripture Focus

25And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew.
Genesis 4:25

Biblical Context

Adam and Eve bear Seth, signaling a fresh beginning after Abel's death. The verse marks hope for a renewed lineage.

Neville's Inner Vision

To Neville, Genesis is not history but the drama of consciousness. When Adam 'knew' again, the I AM—my awareness, the source of all being—chooses to renew its line. Seth is not a man apart from me, but a new seed of life planted within the present state of consciousness. The verse says, 'For God hath appointed me another seed'—so I recognize a fresh assurance arising in me, a claim of Providence that does not depend on outward circumstance. Cain and Abel may have contended in the outer story, yet the inner watcher knows: the old line ends and a richer line is introduced by the I AM. I do not search for renewal; I assume the feeling that renewal is already done. I Am births Seth; the new seed confirms that my world can be created anew from within, through quiet, persistent assumption. The shift comes not by seeking but by admitting that a different seed has been planted and is now growing in my mind.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes; assume the feeling, 'I am the I AM, and I birth a new seed within me now.' Stay with the sensation until it feels real.
