Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Potiphar's wife pressed Joseph daily to lie with her, but he refused to listen or be near her. He chose integrity over immediate gratification, preserving his inner covenant.
Neville's Inner Vision
Joseph in this verse is a symbol of the unwavering I AM within you, the state of consciousness that remains true in the face of pressure. The daily urging of the woman represents the repeated suggestion of a lower vibration trying to revise your inner covenant. When he hearkened not, it is not a denial of life, but a choice to withhold belief from a tempting image and to stay allied with the truth you are. By refusing to lie by her or be with her, he preserves the integrity of the inner state, and thereby the outer world gradually reconfigures to match the settled consciousness. What appears as a tempting scene is really a test of your habit of attention: do you entertain or discard the suggestion? The more you refuse, the more your character aligns with the I AM and the more your surroundings reflect that fidelity. Remember, the world is the outer image of your inner state; purity and steadfastness today become wisdom and power tomorrow.
Practice This Now
Take 1 minute now: close your eyes, breathe, and declare 'I am the I AM; I choose fidelity to my inner covenant.' Then imagine a radiant shield around you that repels every temptation.
