Genesis 33:8-11 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Biblical Context
Jacob meets Esau and offers gifts to gain grace; Esau says he has enough, while Jacob requests a blessing, affirming that seeing Esau is like seeing the face of God; the passage presents grace and sufficiency as inner states expressed outwardly.
Neville's Inner Vision
Jacob’s encounter with Esau is the inner drama of a consciousness seeking recognition from its outer aspect. The gifts symbolize an act of assumption, a deliberate revision of lack into abundance. Esau represents the outer, egoic sense of self; Jacob represents the I AM within, the awareness that already bears favor. When Jacob declares that he has found grace in Esau’s sight, he is not bargaining for mercy but aligning his self-image with the truth that grace is already bestowed by the inner Lord. The statement that God hath dealt graciously with me and that I have enough is a declaration of inner fact, not a future hope. The face of the lord in the other is the inner sight turning toward its divine reflection; the outward blessing follows the inward certainty. This is a practical reminder: your present movements and offerings are proof of your inner state, not conditions to be earned from without.
Practice This Now
Practice: quiet your mind, then assume you have already found grace in your inner lord. Repeat I have found grace in the sight of my inner lord and feel the abundant goodness as your own current reality.
