Biblical Context
Jacob recounts twenty years with Laban, asserting faithful toil, unconsumed flocks, and losses borne; he notes God has seen his affliction and guarded his labor.
Neville's Inner Vision
In the inner theatre of your mind, the outer grievances are weather, not the truth. Jacob's speech is a declaration to his own consciousness: I have stood by my post, my labor is not wasted, and the inner law of cause has observed. The 'twenty years' become years of steadfast attention to a desired state; the 'wages' that changed are shifts in belief about value; the drought and frost are the tempests of doubt. Yet God—the God of Abraham, the fear of Isaac—has seen the affliction and the labor of the hands, meaning your I AM has recorded every moment of fidelity. Do not seek recognition from the world, but align with the inner justice that already judges you as rightful. When you remain loyal to your truth, the inner court will render the only verdict that matters: you are provided for by the same God who watched Jacob.
Practice This Now
Assume the state that you have finished your labor under divine protection and are already paid in full. Feel the inner warmth of rightful possession as you rest in the I AM.
