Mercy Found in Consciousness

Genesis 19:18-19 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Genesis 19 in context

Scripture Focus

18And Lot said unto them, Oh, not so, my LORD:
19Behold now, thy servant hath found grace in thy sight, and thou hast magnified thy mercy, which thou hast shewed unto me in saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil take me, and I die:
Genesis 19:18-19

Biblical Context

Lot recognizes grace and mercy from the Lord, acknowledging salvation while fearing the peril of the mountain.

Neville's Inner Vision

Let us read Lot as your inner state now. The mountain is not a place but the height of your current mentality. His plea that mercy has been magnified is the soul acknowledging that mercy already dwells in your consciousness. The saving of life is the preservation of your true self as the old fear dissolves in the light of awareness. When you stand in this truth, you realize you are not escaping to a distant peak but entering a higher state you already are. The mercy you seek is not coming from without, but shines from within the I AM you are. Your imagination becomes the channel by which destruction is undone; every sign of peril yields to the reality that grace has been granted and you are kept safe by your own renewed state. The moment you own this, fear yields and life is preserved by the mercy you have magnified in consciousness.

Practice This Now

Take a few breaths, close eyes, and silently affirm I am the mercy I seek; I am saved now. Feel a calm shield rising around you as you rest in that awareness.
