Inner Hospitality Gateways
Genesis 19:1-3 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Genesis 19 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Two angels arrive at dusk and Lot invites them into his home, sharing bread and shelter, demonstrating mercy and generosity.
Neville's Inner Vision
Two angelic presences appear at the threshold of my mind's city; I bow, acknowledging them as the I AM at work within me. Their arrival says: consciousness is visited by truth. Rather than resist, I invite them into my inner house, offering nourishment of surrender and the rest of attention; hospitality here is not about food but allowing higher imagination to dwell. The gate of the outer scene (the city) is transformed as I host the higher form, moving from street to home, from fear to mercy. The bread of sincerity and the washing of feet symbolize clearing the self from doubt and pretense, preparing the mind to move in harmony with divine intention. By such hospitality, inner reality becomes evident; generosity becomes the practice of love incarnate. The angels depart, not as external guests, but as inner shifts of awareness through which I recognize I AM.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes; imagine two radiant visitors arriving at your inner gate. Bow, invite them into your inner home, and feel your I AM hospitality—revise any fear into mercy as you feed them with truth.
