Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
God reveals to Abraham a future promise of nationhood and blessing. He notes Abraham’s duty to lead his household in justice and judgment, and He will examine the cry against Sodom to see if it matches their deeds.
Neville's Inner Vision
Remember, Abraham is a state of consciousness within you, an I AM that can command its household through justice and judgment. The Sodom inquiry is your inner cry, calling you to inspect thoughts and deeds. When the Lord says, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do, you hear the question from your own awareness, how much of your hidden life you will reveal to your center. The promise that Abraham shall be a great nation, and all nations blessed in him, points to the growth of your inner state when you persist in the law of consciousness. The cry against Sodom is great and grievous, yet the answer is not punishment but a revision of your inner life. I go down now, and see, and if not, I will know—this is your inner observer awakening to truth. Your fidelity to the Lord’s way is the means by which your world is rearranged.
Practice This Now
Assume the state of Abraham now — the I AM in you that commands justice. Hold that as real and feel the blessing flowing into your life, revising any sense of lack.
