Inner Covenant of Awareness
Genesis 17:9-14 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
God commands that every male among Abraham's descendants be circumcised as a token of the covenant, to be kept throughout generations. The passage warns that the uncircumcised shall be cut off from the people for breaking the covenant.
Neville's Inner Vision
See the covenant not as an external rite but as a decree of your inner state. God’s call to keep the covenant with your seed is the call to keep your mind aligned with the I AM—the awareness that never separates from its own law. The token of the covenant—the circumcision—becomes symbolic of severing the old self and setting apart your experience for divine life. The reference to eight days old signals a fresh birth of consciousness, a daily invitation to choose loyalty and obedience to the inner truth. When you honor this inner covenant, your life enters into an everlasting relationship with the divine I AM, and the sense of separation dissolves into unity.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Close your eyes and assume the state of being in everlasting covenant with your I AM now; feel the loyalty and let the sense of separation fall away as you declare, 'I am aligned; I am whole.'
