Genesis 17:24-27

Biblical Context

Abraham, 99, is circumcised together with Ishmael, who is 13, on the same day. All the men in Abraham's house are circumcised as well.

Neville's Inner Vision

Genesis 17:24-27 is not a history lesson but a map of consciousness. The circumcision is the symbolic act of cutting away identification with fear and limitation and declaring the I AM as the sole ruler of life. The flesh of the foreskin represents layers of identity you shed by consent to a new state. Abraham, Ishmael, and every man in his house become one in the decision to align with the covenant; so too in you, all the 'men' of your mind - desires, memories, and habits - are brought under the same decree of loyalty to the I AM. The day of the rite is the present moment you choose the truth over appearances. Age is no barrier, for consciousness has no age, only readiness. When you dwell in this covenant state, obedience becomes ease, and holiness becomes the natural vibration of your inner life.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, breathe, and assume the state: I am in covenant; I belong to the I AM. Feel this as real for a minute, then carry that loyal center into today’s choices.
