Inner Covenant of Abundant Life

Genesis 17:2 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Genesis 17 in context

Scripture Focus

2And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly.
Genesis 17:2

Biblical Context

God promises a covenant with Abraham and vows to multiply him exceedingly. This signals divine assurance of fruitfulness and growth.

Neville's Inner Vision

To me, the verse reads as an invitation to the inner covenant of consciousness. The 'God' of Genesis becomes your I AM, the aware, unconditioned Self. The 'thee' is your present self, and the promise of multiplication is the feedback of your state of being when you align with that Self. When you accept that you are already in covenant with the divine within, abundance is not something to chase but a state you breathe. The multiplication is not merely wealth but the growing capacity to perceive, respond, and act from inspired inner spark. As you dwell in this inner agreement, your outer circumstances tilt toward greater opportunities, connections, and healing, because you have refused to contract your sense of self. Rehearse this by dwelling in the feeling that the I AM is multiplying your life, seeing yourself as the one God is blessing with increase. The more you stay with that feeling, the more the outer world reflects it.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume you are already under the covenant; feel the I AM multiplying your life for five minutes. If doubt arises, revise it with the affirmation, 'I AM in covenant; I multiply exceedingly.'
