Biblical Context
Genesis 13:6-7 shows Abram and Lot’s wealth crowding the land, triggering a quarrel between their herdmen, with outsiders dwelling in the land. It illustrates how external conditions mirror internal competition for resources.
Neville's Inner Vision
On the inner plane, the land is your state of consciousness; Abram and Lot are two aspects of your I AM seeking room in the same field of awareness. When imagination swells with substance, the mental land becomes crowded, and the herdmen—your thoughts and habits—argue for the same space. The Canaanites and Perizzites dwelling there are the stubborn conditions that appear when you still believe you are divided in your mind. The cure is to decide in consciousness that there is only one land, one abundance, one I AM filling all space. By assuming and feeling as though you already inhabit a single, boundless realm, you dissolve the sense of scarcity and the sense of separation. Hold to the feeling that your wealth and your relations are sustained by one living I AM, and the strife will fade as the land expands to accommodate all you desire.
Practice This Now
Assume the end now: there is only one land in my consciousness, and I dwell in it with all my substance. Close your eyes, feel the unity, and imagine the herdmen quieting as the land expands to hold your desires.
