Biblical Context
Genesis 10:11–12 records Asshur’s departure and the building of Nineveh, Rehoboth, Calah, and Resen—cities that symbolize the spread of a people. It marks the making of a great center named as a mighty city.
Neville's Inner Vision
Out of your current consciousness arises a bold impulse—the inner Asshur—moving the mind to build a new order. Nineveh, Rehoboth, Calah, and Resen are not external cities but inner stations of perception. When you imagine Nineveh, you are establishing a center of watchfulness; Rehoboth becomes a widening, welcoming boundary within where possibilities are received. Calah and Resen are the outposts and crossroads of decision, where choices are made and commitments are kept in the light of I AM awareness. The claim that 'the same is a great city' says: once these inner towns exist in imagination, you have erected a kingdom in consciousness that cannot be destroyed by circumstance. You are not charting geography but reorganizing belief; you are drawing a map of inner order and walking through it with faith that God—your I AM—rules there. Practice gentle revision: dwell in the feeling that this inner kingdom already stands, and reality will align to reflect it.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the inner city Nineveh already built within you; feel the atmosphere of alertness, and declare, I AM reigning here. Then move through each inner district with gratitude for the Kingdom of God within.
