Biblical Context

Genesis 1:3-26 presents God speaking light and order into the formless deep. Through sequential commands, form and life arise, culminating in humanity made in God's image.

Neville's Inner Vision

From a Neville Goddard perspective, Genesis 1:3-26 reveals that creation is the inner act of consciousness, not a remote event. When God says, Let there be light, this is your I AM awakening as awareness. Light is not an object but the quality of attention shining on thoughts, beliefs, and possibilities. The divisions—light from darkness, day from night—are the discernments you make by choosing what to acknowledge. Calling the firmament Heaven shapes the air of your mind that gives form to experience. The gathering of waters and the appearance of dry land symbolize organizing your feelings and ideas into tangible results. The creation of grasses, trees, and creatures mirrors the ideas you plant and cultivate through persistent assumption and feeling it real. The sun, moon, and stars express the cycles and seasons of your inner life, guiding your days and nights. And Let us make man in our image marks the moment you consciously embody the image you desire, exercising dominion through faith, attention, and the power of I AM. The outer world follows the inner state when you dwell in this awareness.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: In a quiet moment, declare, I AM the light that forms my life. Assume the end you desire, feel it real now, and revise any lack by dwelling in that illumination until it becomes present.
