Genesis 1:29-30 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Genesis 1 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
God declares that seeds and fruit are provided for all beings, establishing a world of nourishment and order.
Neville's Inner Vision
Here the words 'I have given you every herb bearing seed' reveal not a distant provision, but a habit of consciousness. God is not a person somewhere up there who feeds you; God is your I AM, the awareness that makes you aware of yourself. When you hear, 'to you it shall be for meat,' hear it as a decree within your own inner field: your life feeds on the seeds of your ideas, the trees of your imagined world. The animals and creatures share the same source, reminding you that all forms of life arise from the same living state. Therefore, your daily bread is the outcome of the inner order you accept. Create a new sense of possession by assuming the feeling of abundance already present, and let that assumption shape the outer scene. As you dwell in this inner provision, your choices become acts of stewardship—care for your thoughts as you would care for a garden, and you will see a world that mirrors your inner abundance.
Practice This Now
Sit quietly and revise your state to 'I am abundantly provided for now.' Feel the nourishment as a real expression of your own consciousness until it lands as experience.
